Doesn’t it seem like there are more celebrities getting divorced?

When it comes to celebrity divorces, most of them are announced during times when the celebrities think (and hope) there are fewer people paying attention. At least that’s what a former Hollywood publicist, tabloid editor and host of VH1’s “Gossip Table” had to say. For example, the theory is that there won’t be as many people paying attention to what is transpiring on Fridays as there are on Mondays.

When a celebrity couple announces their divorce, there’s a lot that goes into the planning of the announcement. In fact, the bigger celebrity couples have the time, day and month set. In many cases, the couple has been separated for several months or even years before they announce the split. So even if it seems as though there has been a rash of celebrity divorces recently, it could just be that those in “the know” already know when celebrity divorces should be announced and not when each of them is really happening.

High asset divorces are normally complex, but there are generally prenuptial agreements in place, too. This can make the divorce process faster, and hopefully, with less animosity.

Not everyone will generate a buzz when deciding to divorce; however, that doesn’t mean a divorce won’t sting. In most cases, it’s an incredibly emotional time and a drain on your finances and time. When children are involved, it can quickly become a battleground. It’s important to remember to put the children and their needs first.
